When Setup
returns a code.
CYRRA uses Inno Setup for its Windows installer. Use the code from Windows or your deployment tool to identify what happened.
CYRRA Windows Installer Exit Codes
These are the miscellaneous installer return codes relevant to CYRRA’s Windows x64 setup package.
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
0 | Installation completed successfully. |
1 | Installer failed to initialize. |
2 | Installation was cancelled before installation began. |
3 | A fatal error occurred while preparing the installation. |
4 | A fatal error occurred during the installation. |
5 | Installation was cancelled or aborted during installation. |
7 | The installer determined that installation cannot proceed. |
8 | The installer cannot proceed until Windows is restarted. |
What to do next
Codes 1, 3, 4, 7, and 8 normally appear with an error message explaining the problem. For code 8, restart Windows and run the installer again. For any other non-zero code, close your DAW and retry the installer with administrator permission.
If the installer still fails, send support the exact code, the Windows version, and the installer version. Do not send your license key.
Reference
These meanings follow Inno Setup’s official Setup Exit Codes documentation. Inno Setup also documents code 6 for a setup process terminated by its compiler debugger; that is not expected during normal customer installation and is omitted from the troubleshooting table above.
